About Us
St Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church is a fellowship of "Christ followers" who love our Lorde Jesus Christ and desire to lead others into a living relationship with Him.  We welcom you to join us in any of the ministry activities we offer in order that you may grow in your love for Jesus and your obedience to serve Him and the people of our Old Brooklyn community.
Our History
St Mark congregation has been a part of the Old Brooklyn community since 1895 when a group of Lutheran folks who lived in the area began a Christian School for their children.  Several years later a worshipping congregation was organized.  Our first location was on Ruby avenue, a few blocks East of our current location.  In 1908 the first building (a multi-purpose facility) on our current site was constructed.  It served for classrooms, worship and fellowship space.  In 1924 our current worship facility was constructed, followed by an expansion to our St Mark School in 1960.
Our Staff
St Mark congregation has been served by eight Senior Pastors in her 113 year history, in addition to a number of other staff people, including the staff and faculty of our Christian School, St. Mark Lutheran School.
The purpose of our Staff is to "train and equip" the people of Christ's Church in this place in the work of ministry, since they are the people God has called to serve in our community.  We invite you to join us in that Mission.
